Twist movie clip shows art heist gone awry [VIDEO EXCLUSIVE]


Watch an exclusive preview clip of the new movie Twist, starring Lena Headey, Michael Caine and Rita Ora, inspired by Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist.

The classic Charlies Dickens story Oliver twist gets a modern update in the crime thriller, Turn, and Screen cry has an exclusive clip from the new Lionsgate movie. Turn tells the story of a talented graffiti artist trying to find his way after the loss of his mother. The main character is played by Raff Law, son of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, who is making his film debut. Turn premieres July 30 in select theaters and on demand.

The cast of Turn also includes Oscar winner Michael Caine (Principle) like Fagin, the paternal leader of the street gang, Lena Headey (Milkshakes with powder) as Sikes, singer-songwriter Rita Ora (Detective Pikachu) like Dodge, and Sophie Simnett (Dawn) as Red, an attractive member of Fagin’s crew. After his mother’s death, Twist finds himself drawn to this crew, drawn to the lifestyle and his interest in Red. As the story draws inspiration from Dickens’ tale, it amplifies the action and tension, creating an action-fueled crime thriller set in contemporary London.

Check out the exclusive clip above showing Law, Ora, Headey, Simnett and Franz Drameh (To see) who plays Batesy, in the middle of an art theft that’s about to go wrong. Red seems to have found herself in a tight spot and it’s up to Twist to help her. It also shows some pretty impressive moves.

Raff Law in Twist

Turn joined movies like Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (coincidentally with also Lena Headey) and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, inspired by an iconic text but adding a unique touch. While this take doesn’t have the supernatural element of those movies, it’s fun to see some well-known stories taken in different and unexpected directions. It will be interesting to see how Turn updates, changes and has fun with the original source material.
